If you have hard water the minerals in the water can react with the soap leaving your hair feeling 'unclean + waxy' you will want to use an acidic rinse as your final rinse if this is the case. After shampooing and rinsing out your hair, pour a very diluted (1-2 tsp. apple cider vinegar, lemon or lime juice, etc.) in warm water over your scalp and hair. This makes water soluble those minerals left in your hair after rinsing, leaving your hair soft and manageable. If you have soft water then you shouldn't have a problem.
